Yard Birds

Founded more than 25 years ago in Jamestown, KY, YARD BIRDS began as a creative collaboration between a father and son who shared a passion for transforming scrap metal into art. Drawing on decades of metalworking experience, including crafting farm gates and satellite dishes, they created the very first YARD BIRD using reclaimed materials found around their home.

Today, YARD BIRDS are proudly handcrafted in Louisville using overrun, discontinued, rejected, and scrap materials such as garden tools, car parts, bicycle pieces, farm implements, and mufflers. Each whimsical sculpture is designed to give discarded metal new life while adding personality and charm to homes and gardens.

A proud member of Kentucky Crafted, C.R.A.F.T., and the American Craft Council, the artist continues to expand the YARD BIRDS collection with new handcrafted designs every six months, including sculptures, wine caddies, flowerpot holders, and pet feeders. Each YARD BIRDS is one-of-a-kind, full of character, and created to bring joy and conversation wherever it’s displayed.
