Santa Fe Stoneworks

Santa Fe Stoneworks was founded on a singular vision: to apply traditional lapidary techniques—man's oldest craft—to one of man's oldest tools—the knife. Rejecting the conventions of the jewelry market, Bill Wirtel and family chose instead to focus on creating meaningful, heirloom-quality gifts for men, rooted in history and craftsmanship.

Each piece blends stone artistry with functionality, reflecting a legacy that began generations ago. Bill’s grandfather was a stone cutter from upper Bohemia, a member of the Stoneworkers Guild, whose emblem—the “Wirtel”—is now carried forward as both a name and a mark of quality.

Today, Santa Fe Stoneworks proudly honors that heritage, crafting knives and men’s gifts that speak to tradition, utility, and timeless design.
