Ken Wheeler is a Saluda, North Carolina–based woodworker who creates one-of-a-kind birdhouses and furniture from reclaimed wood. A longtime “green” artist, he transforms locally sourced materials into pieces that are both beautiful and functional.

After a career in physical education, Ken dedicated himself fully to woodworking—a craft he has practiced for over 40 years. Working from his home studio, he handcrafts each piece from start to finish, incorporating natural elements like mountain laurel into his signature designs.
