Gold filled and oxidized sterling silver circle earrings by Freshie & Zero in Nashville, TN

Freshie & Zero

Delicately feminine, modern jewelry—made by hand in Nashville, TN.

The nickname "Freshie" came about unexpectedly when a manager playfully dubbed founder Beth "Freshie Beth" during her first post-college job—a nod to "Marky Mark." The name stuck, and so did her lifelong creative spirit.

Beth, aka Freshie, has been making jewelry since childhood. At just 10 years old, she crafted earrings from Friendly Plastic (a beloved ‘80s craft material), selling them door-to-door from her trusty Caboodle. Her entrepreneurial streak was clear early on—summer lemonade stands and winter hot cocoa stands were all part of her creative hustle.

After earning an art degree from Belmont University, Beth initially set aside her artistic dreams, unsure how to make a living through creativity. While working in craft galleries, she rediscovered her childhood love of jewelry-making. She began experimenting with beads and vintage components, until one day she picked up a spool of wire and a hammer. The moment she hammered her first circle, she knew—this was her medium.

From that spark, Freshie & Zero was born.

Her style quickly evolved into what defines the brand today: handcrafted jewelry that’s feminine, modern, and full of heart. What began as a solo venture has grown into a thriving studio in Nashville’s vibrant downtown arts district, where a small team helps bring each piece to life. Together, they wire-wrap, hammer, laugh, and listen to true crime podcasts while creating jewelry meant to be worn every day and cherished for a lifetime.
