Featherwood is a distinctive line of colorful, handcrafted wood jewelry created by artist and woodworker Buzz Coren. Developed and refined over several years, Featherwood pieces are sold primarily through craft galleries, gift shops, and boutiques.

Largely self-taught, Buzz began working with wood over 40 years ago, drawing from early experiences helping his father with handyman projects, participating in school shop classes, and working construction jobs during college. What began as a hobby—making small boxes and jewelry—eventually evolved into a full-time career. The novelty of making a living through woodcraft has never worn off.

His dedication to creating unique, expressive jewelry allows him the flexibility to support his family and continue making vessels and bowls by commission. He is a proud member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and works from a home-based studio in the South Toe River Valley of Western North Carolina, with views of the beautiful Black Mountain Range.
