Asheville Dragonfly
Jess Fager, the mastermind behind Asheville Dragonfly, is deeply passionate about sewing and embroidery. Her entrepreneurial journey began with crafting handbags for online sales. As she delved deeper into the impact of single-use plastics on the environment, she shifted her focus to creating products that combat plastic waste. Transitioning to making reusable produce bags, Jess invested in an embroidery machine to stitch the tare weight on the bags, sparking her love for embroidery. She expanded her repertoire to include embroidered kitchen towels, reusable napkins, bags from upcycled fabrics, reusable hankies, grocery totes, utensil carriers, and more.
Symbolizing new beginnings, dragonflies serve as a significant emblem for Jess. Each bag made from scrap fabric and every embroidered towel or napkin represents a fresh start. For Jess, the most crucial new beginning was pursuing her passion and establishing roots in a place where she feels most at home.
